This didn't hit me as hard as the other Begman films I have seen, but I thought it had his usual profound style. I did find a dark humour in the scene when the pastor told the schoolteacher that he didn't find her attractive, "I'm sick of your short-sighted eyes".
Serious, admirable cinema.
