Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Morten B — 22 Jan 2008
Out of the mastodont-white-European-male-directors (Godard, Fellini, Truffeaut, Bergman) Bergman is the only one I really feel a connection too. Maybe it's the scandinavian feel to the movies, maybe it's the fact that not all his women are stupid.
Any way, I really love his films and this one - about childhood memories - is a poetic masterpiece.
