The depth with which Bergman conveys this story of one man's musings of death and how his unhappiness in his life stems from a rejected lover in his youth is beautiful, haunting and cinematically perfect.
Sjostrom is amazing in the lead role and his quiet versilimitude perfectly guides the film. There are never enough words or phrases to describe how good Bergman's films are and Wild Strawberries is just another on that list.
