Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Micha S — 24 Feb 2009
Think the Wizard of Oz meets Elvis in this intense road movie with Twin Peaks undertones, perfectly directed by David Lynch. No wonder the film won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1991. As well as an amazing performance by Diane Ladd as a modern Wicked Witch, this adaptation from the Barry Gifford novel is everything a film should be: "wild at heart and weird on top".
