Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Tonygreen — 13 Oct 2022
I didn't *get* it, but I sure did enjoy it. Nick Cage, Laura Dern, and in particular Willem Dafoe captivate with over the top performances. The Wizard of Oz "framing" really didn't make any sense to me.
However I can't put it down, it's a wild ride and thoroughly entertaining. The direction, score, imagery and stylistic choices work 'natch.
