Review of Whiteout (2009) by Madiha H — 24 Feb 2011
This movie got a lot worse of a general review than it probably deserved. Truthfully, it's isn't the best movie ... but it's not awful. Parts of it were way too slow, and Kate Beckinsale is a lot better of an actress than this movie lets her be, but I still was able to watch the entire movie straight through.
It hits all of the thriller cliches, which almost makes it a parody (if only they pushed that aspect of this! It would have been perfect!). I will forget it quickly, but there are worse ways to pass a couple hours.
Also, why did the trailers make it seem like something supernatural was going to happen? I kept expecting Moulder and Scully to pop out from the whiteness, but it's just your average survival thriller.
