Review of What Have I Done to Deserve This? (1984) by Alexis C — 18 Jan 2008
Definitely not a memorable Almodovar, though it is still jam-packed with humor, shock and surprising twists. The acting was impeccable, but too many characters and plot-turns takes the focus out of the entire film.
The feminist undertone (or overtone, depending on how you see it) is the only theme that keeps the movie going, and to that extent, it is an important movie to watch.
