Review of W.E. (2011) by Todd G — 14 Feb 2012
I struggled to stay throughout the entire first half. The last act is a bit redeeming: the abdication speech was extremely well executed. But I actively disliked most of the characters and little I learned made me sympathetic.
Also, while the past romance had some fire (strangely, since these were cold aristocracy-types), the modern day meeting and fascination was far beyond lacking chemistry; it was clunky and implausible.
