Review of W.E. (2011) by Idalia L — 05 May 2012
W.E. was slow...too slow. Overall, I thought the story was intriguing; but without that initial intrigue prior to watching the film, I don't think I would have made it through. As many little girls, I was somewhat mesmerized by the fairytale aspect of Wallace Simpson.
To research Wallace Simpson is to shatter the fairytale. I thought the movie did a good job of being empathetic to its main character (Wallace S.), but the NYC wasp storyline was too much and dragged the film down.
