Review of W. (2008) by Jeff S — 10 Sep 2009
First of all, Hollywood "based on a true story" movies always annoy the shit out of me. Secondly, everyone goes on about how great this movie is for portraying Bush "fairly" and what a great job the guy who played him did, but it's bullshit.
The whole thing felt ridiculous from beginning to end. This film includes merely possible scenarios of how one might imagine what happened. So what's the fucking point? It's all speculation. Should have been fiction, based loosely on reality like "In the loop", then I'd be far more interested.
But we're supposed to believe this is how all these scnarios and conversations really went? Fuck it, I've got no time for it.
