Review of Vice (2018) by Northchan — 02 May 2019
Vice is a exceptional film. Adam Mckay the director of this film continues to prove that he can do more than just make comedy films with his producing partner Will Ferrell who is also a producer on this film.
Vice is a film about Dick Cheney the former vice president of the United States from 2001-2009. This film is amazing, It's a new type of biopic film since it has comedic elements in it. The narrator has these comedic elements.
Something else I like about this film is that the film goes into Dick Cheney's life at different points at once but in a way that makes it good. He is portrayed as a guy who has quest for power in a negative way.
I am not sure what Dick Cheney is like in real life, but from the interviews that I have seen of him and I have listened to some audiobooks that he wrote and narrated and he seems like a decent person who wants to keep America Safe.
I won't disclose my political opinions, but I will mention that I support Dick, since he wants to keep America safe. Christian Bale did a amazing job, and he nailed it down to the smallest details. He nailed his facial expressions the way he walks, talks, and how he is a different points in his life.
The way that Christian Bale looks to play CHeney is so real, some people on youtube say that Dick Cheney became an actor to play himself in the film. Sam Rockwell , Steve Carell and Amy Adams also do an amazing job of portraying George W Bush, Lynne Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld.
I highly recommend Vice.
