Review of Ray (2004) by Nateblum7 — 31 Jul 2021

This is the worst thing I could have ever done to myself. I myself am a borderline deaf male remember going to see this motion picture in hopes to start a powerful movement for those who suffer from the inability to hear or see each other. When I got to the theater and the ticket counter, I had absolutely nothing in my leather wallet. No Cash, No Change, cards or coupons, however I remembered that in my 1962 Volkswagen Beetle, I had a certificate of some sorts labeled QBE and I thought that it might have some worth. I went back to the counter to go give it to the ticket boy, but by then it was too late. The show was practically sold out according to the young, but I told him how much film means to me and seeing it would change my life as I know it. He thought the words that came out of my mouth were beautiful and he said he would except the certificate for the last available seat. I was so happy. 2 hours and 30 minutes later:

I left the theater insulted and wrecked. No words can describes how bad this movie was in my eyes. I went home in disbelief, this was going to be my movie and Taylor Hackford ruined it. Flash-forward 16 years later, I woke up in the morning to find a missed call from QBE life insurance and basically called them back to explain how I sold my certificate to this teenage boy behind the counter, who definitely laundered all the money from it posing as me and now I have no life insurance thanks to Ray. However, at the time of writing this review, I have no idea whether I can blame this on the movie or myself, but I can say is that was a waste of a movie. Also, I cant deny but to think that I am in a deep and dark place.
