Review of Vantage Point (2008) by Joshua O — 18 Jun 2011
Vantage Point is actually very engaging for the first half, it left me guessing with really no idea who did it or why, but as it went on into the second half it started to get more and more predictable, it's actually quite obvious.
I like the style of storytelling where it is told in flashbacks and side stories however there are several plot holes and I am not exactly sure if all the characters where necessary. The acting is pretty good but then again the actors did not have to do much to convince me they really just had to run around and shoot.
Matt Fox who I think is a very good actor gives the best performance in the movie but Dennis Quaid is also pretty good. I'll admit that it is by no means great or even very good, however it is sort of an engaging and mysterious thriller that I enjoyed for the most part, it could have been better, but a lot of movies could have been better.
It is exactly what the genre says it is, a thriller.
