Review of Vampires Suck (2010) by Denise H — 24 Feb 2011

Hokey spoof the the first of the Twilight movies. Had some funny parts ("finger food canapes" and the "insert fangs here" sign) but most of it was stupid with one exception-I felt Jenn Proske ("Bella") did a better job acting than Kristen Stewart did in the real movies. The teenage angst was dumb the first time they used it in the movie. I didn't appreciate the blow-up sex doll, the comments about "tits" and the statement that a black guy might hit on Becca/Belle if she took her Dad's advice and got some buttock boosting pads. I watched this with an 11 year old granddaughter and she "didn't get it" on quite a few parts. It's rated PG13 but she begged me to let her watch it so I relented and I regretted it right off the bat.

Guess it would be better if viewed by a party of grownups drinking beer and eating junk food some night when there's nothing better to do LOL.
