It's been a good fortnight since I watched it and I still don't know what to make of it. I'm pretty sure that was the director's intention. It's more like a dream than a film - there is no cohesive structure whatsoever, lack of a soundtrack, lingering shots of scenery with sparse dialog, not to mention a man who has turned into an ape.
I had little interest in the negligible plot though admittedly the shots of the jungle were so captivating that it was a shock when the story is moved to an urban setting at the conclusion. Probably the strangest film I have ever seen.
