Review of Un Chien Andalou (1929) by Heath R — 05 Jun 2008
I've recently learned that the title of this movie was actually somehow referring to Federico Garcia Lorca. I'm not exactly sure how, but I do know that it ended the friendship between him and Dali. I thought, knowing the works of Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel, that the title meant nothing and had nothing to do with the film. I guess I was wrong...
Anyways, it just doesn't get more surreal than this. Then again, it's just about the only thing you'd expect from the beautifully grotesque imaginations of Dali and Bunuel combined.
Eyeball slicing? fuck yeah!
