Review of Un Chien Andalou (1929) by John M — 06 May 2017
Buñuel`s surrealist classic, all things to all people, though in reality the film was intended to be willfully meaningless.
Like the Wizard of Oz, it works well when viewed with your own soundtrack.
With youth kineticism and inventiveness Bunuel and Dali avoid most of the tedious pitfalls of pretentious surrealist cinema.
"Got me a movie.
I want you to know".
