Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by Mike K — 24 Jan 2009
One of the best films I've ever seen. A masterpiece of existentialism and wandering alienation. I'm in love with its narrative, eroded to the bare essentials of film making. Simple coverage via stunning wide shots and use of depth of field.
Minimal dialogue and very little external insight from characters make every frame captivating. I love this so much.
