Review of Turbo Kid (2015) by Jay S — 28 Oct 2015

A fairly fun over-the-top kiddie version of mad max, but with adult-loads of gore... Did a decent job of capturing the retroness of old movies, as have some others who attempted such recently. BUT, it still ended up too low-budgetty to be thoroughly enjoyable.

Had a few laughs though. I truly hope very little of my tax dollars went to this, but I did see The National Film Board of Canada's credits in here... I'm sorry, but if a person can't get a job in what they've trained and desired to do, governments shouldn't be giving handouts to make their dreams come true - hard work, perseverance and a lucky break are what it should be left up to.

We've got hospitals and schools and roads to fund...
