Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Valentina K — 10 Jun 2012
I was personally turned off by the subject matter. It's like "The Basketball Diaries" and "Reservoir Dogs" combined, in less interesting fashion. Most of the film focuses around the main character going from one heroin overdose to the next.
While he has some fascinating musings about the meaning of life and he certainly made me feel good about my OWN existence, I wouldn't recommend this film to any impressionable youngsters lest they get the wrong idea.
