Review of Touch of Evil (1958) by Mark C — 06 Aug 2008
It opens well, and has a lot of good individual scenes, but I just can't take Charleton Heston is a role that isn't supposed to be hammy (Ten Commandments), because he doesn't do subtle well.
That said it still works because of Orson Welles skilled direction and great cinematography.
