Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch a Thief" is poorly constructed, horribly out of touch, and at times even a ridiculous film. Hitchcock, who is widely known for masterpieces such as "Rear Window and "Vertigo", directs this film with uncontrollable inefficiency.
Cary Grant and Grace Kelly deliver charming performances, but even they can't mend the films mediocre script or its lack of character development.. "To Catch a Thief" to conclude, is one of the most disappointing films Hitchcock ever made in his career.
A waste of a fine cast and lavishing cinematography.
