Review of Top Hat (1935) by Lynne N — 05 Jan 2009
A must watch - if only for the amazing dance numbers. I particularly loved 'Top Hat, White Tie and Tails', which is just awesome to watch. Fred Astaire really was in a class of his own - even Ginger Rogers struggles to look as graceful when dancing next to him.
The plot is very involved and silly - but it's good enough to act as a vehicle between musical numbers and there are quite a few laughs along the way.
