Review of The Gay Divorcee (1934) by Chris S — 10 Jul 2009
It lacks of the more catchy songs and more dazzling dances of other formulaic Astaire/Rogers films but at least the playfulness, the humor and the charm of our lovable duo is still there. Instead, it offers us a silly plot (and I usually enjoy comedies about misunderstandings) and such a dull and prolonged musical number called The Continental that quite drags a bit.
