Review of To End All Wars (2001) by Jared H — 19 Jan 2008
Awesome. Well directed and acted. Based a true story that was a book and overseen by the writer.
Captures the interplay of the enduring human spirit and how some men can be lead blindly by rules, shame, and pride to be evil. One of the most brutal films I have seen next to non-stop brutality of some war films. The sacrifice and co-suffering of the POWs is amazing. All the character have amazing development in the character arcs. Really a must see humanistic, but not in the leftist sense more in its proper context. WATCH IT IF YOU ARE AN ADULT!
