Review of This Is Not a Movie (2011) by Brian S — 30 Sep 2012
Self-indulgence revolving around a character from a script that a writer can't finish as he confronts the nature of his existence and impending non-existence. For the most part, it's a single character (Edward Furlong) in three different costumes arguing with himself and talking to the camera in a Las Vegas hotel room at The Apocalypse Casino.
It makes the point about why "this is not a movie" blatantly, and it's right. It's also not very entertaining, not particularly clever, and not terribly worth watching unless you're a major Edward Furlong fan and/or suffering from ADD.
The cinematography is interesting, so if that's REALLY important to you, you might want to skim through this one for the more interesting scenes. If none of the above applies to you, you probably won't find this a rewarding experience.
