Review of Argo (2012) by Brian S — 24 Nov 2018
Great director/actor Ben Affleck creates a tense and shocking part in political Iranian-American history. It takes a little while to get going, but once it does, it's an efficiently thrilling film, which is surprisingly good at combining a very tense situation with dark humor and interest.
And while it isn't super historicaly accurate, which is a little shameful, considering the context. But Ben Affleck gives a terrific performance, with Bryan Cranston and John Goodman as supporting cast being very good too.
Overall, Argo is a very good film, and worth seeing. Recommended!!
