Review of Thesis (1996) by Tor M — 30 May 2014
All right plot. Naturally "8MM" comes to mind as a closely connected film, but I do not remember it as such a smart film.
It's not that this film is the smartest out there, but for a horror/thriller it's pretty good.
It's not that scary, but it got a spooky vibe at times - I would say that it was exciting but I was never on the edge of my seat.
Not too many cliches but we do get some of them naturally.
Pretty good near the end but it feels a bit dragged though. Two hours is a pretty solid length for a horror piece. But, ah, that music. It's impressively bad and so are some of the computer effects. It's almost 20 years old though, so I won't let that reduce the score.
6.5 out of 10 red doors.
