Review of The Woman (2011) by Al M — 24 Mar 2012
I thought this was a horror/comedy but it wasn't really scary or funny, just kind of weird. All Lucky McKee films seem to be plagued with scenes suffering from really poor pacing/awkwardness and the first half of this movie has its share.
The music is way too loud compared to the dialogue and it seemed like every other scene was some sort of montage to a song, so you sort of have to be on volume control the entire time, turning it up and down.
At some point it was just like, "Dude, enough with the songs." About thirty minutes away from the ending it takes a turn from the bizarre to the really bizarre, but I was fine with it cause I wasn't really digging just bizarre.
Some interesting stuff and solid performances.
