Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Stefan K — 22 Nov 2008
Seeing this one again reminds you how much vacuous trash you've been seeing lately saying, and perhaps even thinking, it "wasn't so bad". A movie that for once deserves every single minute of it's over-time running.
The opening is incredibly tense even before the big massacre sets in -- I believe I read somewhere that the allegory with the kids feeding the scorpion to the ants was improvised on the set.
