Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Little B — 30 Nov 2013
I thought Sam Peckinpah's "Straw Dogs" was mild & decent. When I saw the trailer to "The Wild Bunch", & later learned of Peckinpah's unique portrayal for his Western films, I got very interested.
After seeing it, I was astonished at the amazing story, great acting, vivid camera techniques (ranging from both slow motion to quick cut editing), & magnificent directing from Peckinpah! "The Wild Bunch" is truly a great Western film (alongside "Dances with Wolves", "Unforgiven", "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly", "Django Unchained", "True Grit" (the 2010 adaptation), & "The Lone Ranger") & is one of the best films of the 1960s & 20th Century! Nominated for 2 Oscars - Best Original Screenplay & Best Original Score (didn't win either).
A must-see film!!!
