What on earth was the point of this terrible remake? Pretty much everything that made the original so original is lost, leaving Nicolas Cage to run about punching and kicking his way towards the wicker man itself.
I was disappointed that the version shown on TV didn't feature the headcage of bees - despite the fact that Cage's face is clearly shown as having been stung. Anyway, the resulting film manages to be both uninvolving and awful.
Avoid.
