Review of Villain (1971) by Ally C — 08 Mar 2010
Supported by a phalanx of Brit stalwarts mouthing Dick Clements' and Ian le Franais' hilarious RADA cocknese, Richard Burton's sadistic homo crime boss is a hodge-podge of Kray Kliches. Alongside the superb Get Carter, Villain looks pretty much like a big screen version of The Sweeney.
For fans of inadvertent comedy only.
