Odd as a cod. A weirdo 70s murder mystery, at least that`s how it unspools until the end. Really it`s about culture clash, focusing on warring belief systems - Heathen islanders vs Christian mainland copper.
Christopher Lee is a subdued Count Dracula in a kilt as Lord Summerisle and his sungod wig looked so fine backlight in the final scenes. Still, it is a downer and I can understand how my Dad could hate this movie because of the way it ends.
