This was a brilliant documentary. I tend to leave documentaries largely unmoved, but UNDER THE GREAT WHITE NORTHERN LIGHTS was totally captivating. I walked into the film as a casual White Stripes fan but left with a massive appreciation for them.
The concert footage was perfect, the interviews were de-mystifying, and the focus on their impromptu local shows showed just how cool they can be. Ranks alongside THE COVE as one of my favorite documentaries to date.
