Not only a brilliant observational documentary on a great band, but a really remarkable piece of filmmaking. The majority of it is shot in stark, grainy black and white. It's very raw and it's very fly-on-the-wall, which makes for the most honest kind of documentary.

There are a lot of random conversations between Meg and Jack and candid interactions with other people. It really helps you see how this band ticks, and how everything is set up in the box they operate out of.

There are some live performances, but mostly they use snippets interspersed with more interesting events. Honestly, I'm not sure entirely how to describe the effect this movie has, but if you like this band, or like music at all, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
