Review of The Wedding Singer (1998) by Joseph E — 01 Oct 2010
Review #80 Predictable, Romance, Lame idea.
This film really proves that "America and the Western Civilazation" is really getting stupider. "Sandler's" worst film.(I am a Sandler fan, so be quite if you think I dislike him).
How can this film be so ridiculiuos? Well besides the incrediously bad gags, and seriously retarted dialouge, this film HAD nothing new to offer to the romantic comedy genre. While some may call it an original idea, but mostly people realize it is a predictable, stale romantic-comedy.Barrymoore, and Sandler got it right in (50 First Dates)but Wedding Singer isn't good.
"The Wedding Singer is nothing short of unfunny, and really below it's maturity level, which I'm sure wasn't high to begin with, and even though this film is over 12 years old, it is still widely held has one of the strangest, oddest, and prominetly dumbfounding romantic-comedies ever.".
True Rating: DEB For Don't Even Bother.
