Review of The Wedding Singer (1998) by Steven1981 — 18 Mar 2020
The Wedding Singer is a 1998 comedy but the year is meant to be 1985 I think but not sure so that iself is annoying and confusing. The Wedding Singer stars Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler as the main two characters and it's a silly but good romantic comedy and very funny.
Drew Barrymore is very beautiful as Julia but when her hubby Glen starts cheating on her she falls for the wedding singer played ironically by Adam Sandler. Julia (Barrymore) is a waitress and the wedding singer known as Robbie (Sandler) and Julia strike up a friendship then eventually love which Glen (Julia's hubby) tries to prevent but fails miserably.
The Wedding Singer is hilarious because Adam Sandler gives a great comedy performance and it's a very funny, witty and beautifully made film even if some of the characters are oddballs but avoid the Boy George lookalike wannabe.
Besides that The Wedding Singer is a funny, comedy romance film and beautifully put together.
