Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Ma R — 28 Jun 2015
I've gotta rate this with contemporary mainstream movies in mind. The fact is its a relief to watch any movie that demands the audience already knows stuff (like 30s communism, the House UnAmerican Commission, the relationship between screenwriter and movie producers), compared to the kind of lowest common denominator film that assumes the audience knows nothing.
And it's Streisand and Redford. Come on.
