Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Karen D — 11 May 2013
Simply one of my favorite films of all time. I am amused by some reviewers who complain about the politics being glossed over. It's a love story! The politics are a backdrop, a prop to point to the basic personality and character differences that make life impossible for two people who adore each other.
Redford and Streisand are mesmerizing together. The Way We Were is a classic.
