Is it romantic to marry a woman, have a baby with her, then walk away as if it were all a one night stand, having absolutely nothing to do with the child? That is how The Way We Were ended. Romantic? I'm surprised so many women think so.
If it happened to them, I would guess they would be going after the dead beat dad mercilessly, no matter how boyishly handsome he was.
