Review of The Warriors (1979) by Joe K — 19 Aug 2010
This is Walter Hill's best masterpiece that can last forever and can beat just about any remakes of it. A plot that focus on special gang whose ability to be able to fight against the odds of every gang imaginable that lurks inside New York city in 1970's.
But the real danger is that they may have to re up their chances of surviving since they were being framed for murder of the city warlord. They will have to get thru the city filled with every imaginable kinds of gangs in order to get back home to prove their strength of hope and mentality.
This is one of a kind film that can display the action and the depth of emotional terms that defines of who this gang are. It is fun to watch it over and over. The real thought-provoking is this: imagine being hunted in your own city filled with dangerous gangs in just about every turfs of their own coming close in on you and you would have to collect your own coolness and mentality to overcome the strength of non stop endless armada of forces!
