"The Warriors" is such a crazy movie. The Greek-inspired plot is simple and exciting, and the wacky fantasy gangs are a hoot. It's kinda slow in places, and it feels weird rooting for the boys a lot of the time (Especially Ajax, who I find obnoxious and gross). Michael Beck, who would later be cloned as Heath Ledger, is pretty great as Swan, and David Patrick Kelly is just downright creepy. I also love the radio DJ narration.

Whatever you do, DO NOT see Walter Hill's woefully misguided director's cut. It wreaks havoc on scene transitions and pacing with laughable bargain-bin video effects. He's like a kid going nuts after having learned to use iMovie-- it mars the story and cheapens the look of everything. The theatrical version of "The Warriors" is a lot of fun though. "CAN YOU DIG IT?!".
