Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Kase V — 12 May 2012
Sofia Coppola's debut is no doubt an impressive one. The story is engaging and the script is poignant, but the acting exceeds levels for these young actors. Its not always as gripping in some parts as it is in others, but in retrospect it is a satisfyingly complete film.
Coppola clearly has a knack for coaxing great performances from her actors, and this debut is a sure sign for things to come.
