I don't know anything about fashion or whatever but I really loved the pastel color schemes in this movie. the wallpaper, umbrellas, and coats pop out of the screen in an oversaturated burst of color and it's wonderful.
the operatic style really does get a bit tiring after a while but the strong acting and vocal performances and narrative more than make up for it.
