Review of The Third Man (1949) by Jen I — 01 Dec 2010
Finally watched this for the first time. I liked the surprise of discovering who the man standing in the shadows was, that grin was priceless. I realize this is a cinematic masterpiece on the level of Citizen Kane, but quite frankly, I don't understand the hype of that film either.
Back to The Third Man: The underground chase went on too long, and I wasn't all that satisfied with the way it ended. Apparently there is something I'm not getting. I will definitely watch it again sometime, but my initial reaction is that I don't understand why this film is such a big deal.
