I respect this movie, which a friend seemed to be fawning over. However, I myself just didn't care for it greatly. As I explained to my friend, the problem probably lay in the fact that I've seen so many movies with a similar theme that I was not 'taken in' by the assorted twists and turns which occurred (though this film was without doubt the inspiration/source for those same films).
I like Welles, and Cotten, but otherwise this film didn't do anything special for me.
