This is by far my favorite film, an absolute masterpiece from John Carpenter whose themes and haunting aftereffect never really leave you; even years after you've seen the film. A stunning achievement of film and special effects that was dragged by decrepit, conservative critics when it first came out, but now is seen for the classic it truly is.
