Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Damaris G — 28 May 2008
The Commandments is indeed my no. 1 favorite film, but whoever said that Yvonne de Carlo, played Pharaoh's daughter, needs to get their facts straight. She did not played pharaoh's daughter! Didn't you watch the movie right? Yvonne de Carlo played, "Moses" wife, "Sephora". The actress who played, pharaoh's daughter, was no more and no less than NINA FOCH. Yvonne de Carlo doesn't come out on the film until "Moses" goes away into the desert.
My people get those facts straight before you put in reviews! The Ten Commandments special effects were way ahead of its time. No computer technology, I don't care how advanced it is! Could do what was done in the scene of the parting of the Red Sea. The Original Ten Commandments cannot be imitated. If is imitated, it will never be replaced with any other ten commandments film. The film itself and the star of the film, "Charlton Heston", are just timeless. Just as the name, "Moses", was heard through out generations, so is the name, "Charlton Heston" going to be heard throughout generations.
