Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Brian K — 15 Oct 2008
A biblical super-spectacular starring Charlton Heston as Moses. The scenes and dialogues are very stagy, but the special effects and the massive Egyptian set is breathtaking. Charlton Heston's dress rehearsal for Ben-Hur.
Yul Brynner was excellent, and the film is said to be historically accurate. A great film by Cecil DeMille, but it has extremely aged.
